In cities like Miami, even though the weather may be cooling down, it’s still not cold enough to be wearing heavy pieces or layers. And there are plenty of other places too where by midday, the sun is shining and the weather warms up too much for a thick sweater. Because of this, I like to keep my layers lightweight until it truly begins feeling more like Winter.

I love the idea of a long open front cardigan as an outerwear piece as the season transitions. Even if the weather were to warm up throughout the day, this piece is lightweight enough to keep on during the sunshine. And I’m all about fall floral prints, my top actually has the cutest shoulder cut-outs too.

Another breezy layering piece is a vest. I currently own this leather one and have my eye on this faux fur one! Vests are so versatile and take you from season to season.
