The feeling of running through a field of flowers, all wrapped into a drink. This Field of Flowers Cocktail is perfect for Summer afternoons.
If you love flowery and earthy flavors, you will love this drink. It’s aromatic, slightly sweet and wonderfully refreshing. And if you happen to make this and find it a bit too bitter for your taste (as sometimes flower flavors can be), simply add 1/2 oz. more of freshly squeezed lemon juice and 1/2 oz. more of rose simple syrup to each glass.
Field of Flowers Cocktail
-2 oz. St. Germaine, or other Elderflower Liquor
-2 oz. Lavender infused vodka, (how to make below)
-2 oz. Rose simple syrup
-1 cup tonic water
-1 oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice
Lavender Infused Vodka Directions:
Pour 1/4 cup of dried organic lavender flowers and 2 cups of vodka into a glass with a lid, such as a mason jar, and seal it. Let infuse for 1-3 days. The longer it steeps, the more intense the lavender flavor is.
Field of Flowers Cocktail Directions:
Fill two white wine glasses halfway with ice cubes. Set aside.
Pour St. Germaine, lavender infused vodka and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker. Shake for 5 seconds. Pour evenly into the two glasses.
Pour 1 oz. rose simple syrup into both glasses and give a gentle stir.
Top off both glasses with 1/2 cup tonic water each.
Garnish with a slice of lemon.
