Elevated Weekend Look

Lately, the only opportunities I get to wear cute outfits is on the weekend. Pretty ironic for a style blogger right? But my work as of late has put me behind my computer screen more, which has left me wearing more relaxed, comfy clothing as I work from home.

Because of this, I’ve depended on the weekend to put together outfits that help me shake off my weekday rut and feel good. I’ve been loving the vibes of an elevated weekend look, something like this blazer and shorts outfit. It’s still casual, but adding a layer and good accessories immediately polishes it off.

Even though we’re in October, it’s still warm here in Miami. At least the humidity has subsided though! So the only way I’m able to wear a light jacket like this blue stripe blazer is with a pair of shorts, keeping things balanced. I share more about my favorite jackets for fall here.

Another piece I never get to wear is a turtleneck-I would suffocate. However, mock neck tops like the one I’m wearing are the perfect option to get that cozy look, without the full-on coverage. My top comes in 5 colors too and is only $25!

My accessories may be my favorite part of this look. I’ve talked about my love for the Matt & Nat brand. They create vegan leather, sustainable handbags that are beautiful and environmentally friendly. They are actually my favorite handbag brand and I have about 5 of their bags. My newest being this round satchel purse that comes with an extra strap to make it a crossbody. I love it!

And my buckled mid-heeled sandals are currently my favorite shoe in my closet. I love everything about them and they’re comfy! They come in 3 colors and are on sale, 59% off.

I hope you’re getting excited and gearing up for the end of the year and holiday season. I know everyone is saying it, but I honestly can not believe it is the end of the year already. I feel like I took down my holiday decorations just a couple of months ago. So crazy!

That being said, I’ve been having some mixed emotions with time flying by so quickly and the end of the year sneaking up on us. I’ll be sharing a post on that soon, because my feelings got feelings 😂
