There aren’t too many summer days here in Miami where I can get away with wearing a blazer and jeans without having a heat stroke, but I try to any chance I can. I just love the sleek, crisp look. Today I’m sharing a dressy casual jeans summer look perfect for casual Fridays at the office to weekend outings where you want to skip the sandals and cutoffs and step it up a bit, while still looking effortlessly chill ✌🏽
SHOP MY LOOK
When I shop for blazers, I almost always prefer a straight-cut and BF/slightly oversized fit. I find them to be the most versatile and flattering, even as a petite gal. I tend to think blazers that flare at the bottom or are too broad in the shoulders make us look wider at the hips and boxy. I like structure, but a straight shoulder to tail line in a blazer keeps things sleek!
The blazer I’m wearing is sold out in this color, but you can shop a an almost identical version with blue stripes here -at only $50!
My jeans are another piece I’ve been loving the fit of. They are labeled as girlfriend jeans and I’d describe them as a slightly more-fitted boyfriend jean. At $40, I didn’t have the highest expectations, but here we are about 2 months after I purchased them and they continue to be a favorite pair of mine. Especially if you’re petite, they actually hit at a crop-length…PRAISE BE.
If I’m not wearing sandals or sneakers, I’ve found myself only grabbing for my block heel pumps. Specifically those with a shorter heel too. They are my go-to both elevated and laidback choice of shoes, that dress up an outfit juuust enough.
