A couple of weeks ago I transported to one of the most peaceful, picturesque resorts I’ve ever been to. Today I’m sharing all about my stay at Isla Bella Beach Resort in Marathon, Fl. A destination in the Florida Keys that has the clear blue skies and ocean the keys are known for, with double the charm and way more serenity.
Located just over halfway through the Florida Keys when driving down from Miami, Marathon Key is a 2 hours and 40 minutes drive. Sure, the drive wasn’t a short one. However, from the moment I drove onto the resort’s winding road paved with luscious greenery, I knew it was going to be worth it.
Whoever designed Isla Bella Beach Resort knew how to really excite a guest by making their lobby such a statement. I was welcomed with a glass of champagne then hurried to my room to slip into my swimsuit.
Before that though, I had to take in the total bedroom and bathroom goals. Crisp, bright and just the perfect amount of tropical to keep things chic.
As I stepped outside the backdoor of my room, I walked onto an adorable wooden patio with an ocean and pool view. This is something each room features and it’s one of my favorite things about this resort-that every room is oceanfront and has it’s own outdoor seating area. It makes all of the rooms feel elevated with unobstructed views.
I know it will be no surprise that after I explored a bit, I immediately made my way over to the bar, which is practically on the water.
This table right here, just a few steps away from the bar, might be the prettiest place to sit back and relax I’ve ever seen…ever.
And I did just that. With a cocktail and the yummiest sriracha honey shrimp in hand.
Whether you’re laying next to the pool or sitting under the palm trees by the ocean, Isla Bella Beach Resort has plenty of spots to grab some shade-either under umbrellas or daybeds scattered across the resort.
Besides my room’s back porch, my favorite spot on the resort was this Palm Grove. A white-sanded area lined with palm trees, daybeds and the most peaceful atmosphere. I spent a lot of my time here, putting a dent in my summertime novels.
Each morning and evening I enjoyed a meal at Il Postino, the resort’s main restaurant. I chose to sit outside every time- I wanted to be as close to that sparkling water as possible.
Here was the sunset view I had while eating a delicious fresh fish meal and and drinking a blueberry mint martini. Fresh fish, a refreshing cocktail and a pink sunset…quite the perfect combination.
Also on the resort grounds is the cutest marketplace that features a cafe and a store selling realllll pretty things. It’s a good place to grab a coffee before taking a peaceful early-morning walk around.
This place doesn’t take a bad picture and you won’t find a bad view anywhere.
Above is the view from Palm Grove towards the lobby. Minimalism never looked so beautiful.
Whether it’s a week long family vacation, a relaxing getaway with your SOS or a weekend trip with girlfriends, I can’t recommend the Isla Bella Beach Resort enough.
Included in the resort fee is access to kayaks, bikes and snorkels, or you can also purchase a fishing charter that leaves right from the resort making the fun convenient too.
If you’re looking to make a trip to one of the Florida Keys for a truly relaxing vacation, consider a stay at this resort. I’d give a room recommendation to choose when booking, but the way the resort is laid out, each room offers the same kind of awesome. Unless of course you’re traveling with a bigger group or would just like to have more space, then consider one Isla Bella Beach Resort’s suites or guest room rooms.
