Have you ever met someone who doesn’t like sangria? I can’t think of anyone I know that passes on a glass of this delicious wine drink. What I love most about Sangria is that it can be tailored to the current season, which always feels festive and thoughtful.
It’s also a perfect drink to make for guests and gatherings, since it can be made the night before (which I prefer, so the fruit really marinates) and it can be made in bulk in pitchers.
This Fall Sangria with No Added Sugar is one of my favorite sangrias I’ve ever tasted/made, because of it’s authentic taste. It’s sweetened solely by the liquor and the fruit that marinates over hours. Which means you can actually have more than one glass of this sangria, without feeling a sugar rush or getting overwhelmed by sweetness. I love it!
Fall Sangria with No Added Sugar
- 1 bottle of riesling
- 1 cup vanilla vodka
- 1/4 cup Cointreau
- 1 red apple, cut into squares
- 2 plums, cut into squares
- 1 green apple, cut into squares
- 1 pear, cut into squares
- 1 tsp of pumpkin spice
- club soda
Pour the riesling, vodka, Cointreau and pumpkin spice into a pitcher. Stir. Add in the squared fruit. Stir. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours. I prefer overnight. Pour as 8 oz. servings in your choice of glass and top each off with a splash of club soda, approximately 1/4 cup.
Garnish suggestions: cinnamon stick or cinnamon sugar rim.
