The Skincare Products I Use to Treat Redness

Today I’m sharing The Skincare Products I Use to Treat Redness. Redness is definitely the thing I struggle with the most when it comes to my skin. Between allergies and sensitivity, my skin can be having the best day and I’ll still have some kind of redness. I do think the fact that I stay out of the sun and wear 50SPF on my face daily may also make the redness look more intense, since my skin tone is much lighter because of this.

So, a really big part of my skincare routine are skincare products I use to treat redness. These are actually the products I get the most use out of, since they’re all gentle and soothe my skin-making them the perfect products to use daily, both when my skin is acting up and when it’s not.

Kiehl’s Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil Herbal Concentrate

The Skincare Products I Use to Treat Redness

I started using this Kiehl’s Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil Herbal Concentrate as soon as the brand released it at the beginning of last year and haven’t looked back since. When it came out and I read the description I immediately thought this may be a perfect product-and I was right. It not only helps with redness, but it keeps blemishes at bay too, because it improves the skin’s barrier. I actually went without using this product for a couple of months, after forgetting to repurchase it. Once adding it back into my skincare routine, I noticed my skin was less red and more even after just one use and continued to get more clear as my use continued. It smells pretty earthy, but I love it.

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mask

I like to use one of these Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mask masks twice a month, especially right before an event or big day. You see the results of this mask immediately, skin looks brighter and glows-it’s so impressive. Along with brightening any red marks, it feels hydrating on skin too.

Avene Soothing Moisture Mask

I tried this mask Avene Soothing Moisture Mask for the first time 2 months ago and now it’s my go-to mask. The moisture this mask provides is incredible and even on the days my skin is the most irritated, I not only feel relief from that tight feeling skin can get if dehydrated, but I see a noticeable difference in my skin’s redness after washing it off. I use it once a week, sometimes twice if my skin is really irritated.

Thayer’s Facial Mist with Witch Hazel and Cucumber

I’m going on year 4 using this Thayer’s Facial Mist with Witch Hazel and Cucumber. For $10, this stuff does absolute wonders. I use this 2-3 times a day, after I tone my skin and sometimes once in the middle of the day or before my workout. It offers immediate soothing and the witch hazel is an awesome ingredient that has anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties. On days I can’t even use a toner because my skin is so sensitive, I love that this facial mist does help tighten pores-so at least I’m not skipping a day of treating my pores.

Dr. Jart+ Cicapair™ Tiger Grass Calming Mist

This is the newest addition to my skin redness relief arsenal and I just emptied my first bottle of it. It’s such a fine mist, I wasn’t sure if I would actually see a visible improvement, besides just feeling refreshed. However, this Cicapair™ Tiger Grass Calming Mist – Dr. Jart+ almost instantly calms my skin down and the redness subsides-it’s awesome. I use it after rinsing my face in the morning and night. It also doesn’t interfere with my makeup. The main ingredient, Tiger Grass, forms a protective barrier on skin because of the chlorophyll in it, which is amazing for sensitive skin that’s prone to redness or even conditions like rosacea, eczema and acne. Tiger Grass also stimulates cell growth. It’s history comes from being known as a medicinal herb called Centella Asiatica, which is indigenous to India, Southeast Asia, and some regions of the Southeast United States. It got it’s name Tiger grass from Tigers rolling around on this plant when they were injured.
