A Statement Midi Dress

Topshop Flutter Sleeve Midi Dress

Have you all been doing a lot of online shopping lately? Or at the very least window-shopping online? (🙋🏻) I’ve found it very entertaining and relaxing, just looking at pretty things and adding a whole lot to my carts. I’ve also been buying a few things here and there, because it’s reminding me that there will be a time at the end of this tunnel where I’ll be able to put on a pretty dress and get to strut my stuff around town 😉 Also, not going to lie that getting packages in and being able to have try on sessions and remember what it feels like to wear dressier clothes has been really nice too!

SHOP MY LOOK

I have a feeling we’re all going to be wearing our best outfits when social-distancing is over; the streets are going to look so good. We didn’t appreciate the clothes we had when we actually had places to wear them to!  😂

p.s. the bracelets I’m wearing are so pretty and have a really good weight to them-a stack of 7 for $28!

This Topshop Flutter Sleeve Midi Dress is bold, but has such a flattering silhouette that the statement of it doesn’t take away from it being a pretty-fitting dress with a beautiful flowing movement. It actually comes in three patterns! All of which I love, but there was something about this geo/brushstroke print that caught my eye.

Also, you’ll notice my sleeves in some shots look more flutter-y than in others, that’s the wind picking them up, they don’t lay that way on their own!

What I think makes this statement midi dress so flattering is that it’s not fitted, but that it cinches and flares in the perfects spots. If you haven’t noticed already, I hardly ever wear fitted/tight dresses-they’re just not my jam. And because of this, I’ve discovered that dresses in the style of this Topshop dress (with or without the flutter sleeves-although I’d opt for them 😉) deliver just as feminine of a vibe, showing off curves in the perfect way.
