Although because I work from home I’m often able to commit to a daytime skincare routine, the star of the show is always my nighttime skincare routine. It’s truly the only time that we know whatever we put on our skin is going to be performing hours of uninterrupted work, so the products we choose to sleep in are probably the most important in our arsenal.
I recently started using EltaMD PM Therapy Facial Moisturizer a few weeks ago and I’m not surprised by how much I love it, because I have been using EltaMD products for a couple of years now. I was first introduced to them by my dermatologist and ever since then EltaMD has remained a constant in my skincare routine.
Very high on my list of importance when it comes to a night-time moisturizer is that it is oil-free. I use other oils and concentrates on my skin at night, I prefer to not have any in my moisturizer. In fact, this EltaMd Therapy is so lightweight, I’m impressed it contains so many key ingredients.
Ingredient call-outs are Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, Antioxidants and Peptides. All of these are game-changing when incorporating into a night-time skincare routine, however, I’ve been most impressed by Niacinamide. It is produced from vitamin B3 and it’s anti-inflammatory properties fight against and soothe acne and rosacea while producing more collagen. Niacinamide also helps with the signs of aging and discoloration as it increases ceramides (aid in skin’s barrier and hydration) and fatty acid levels (healthy skin function) which smoothes and clears complexion.
EltaMD PM Therapy Facial Moisturizer repairs and nourishes skin during sleep, which is important to have all-year long, but I’ve needed this even more so lately as I’ve found myself more stressed and that always affects my complexion. I’m also happy to report as someone with very sensitive skin, I’ve had no negative reactions and have been able to enjoy all of the benefits of this moisturizer!
After using this in the evening, I wake up the next morning and my skin feels refreshed and not suffocated or sticky. It honestly feels like I went to bed with no product on and somehow woke up with hydrated skin 🙏🏻
