Hair Food Manuka Honey & Apricot

It’s been several years since I discovered how connected all of my daily habits are to my health and I’ve been on a journey since to make as many healthy choices throughout each day as possible. Not just to stay healthy on the inside, but for my skin and hair too. The smallest decision in my day can have an effect on so many things, so I try to live each moment with intent and make sure not only are my choices thoughtful, but the products I use too.

What’s really cool is when a product intersects two aspects of your life that require careful consideration when it comes to embracing a healthy lifestyle. Hair Food Manuka Honey & Apricot Shampoo and Conditioner represents just this. This natural shampoo and conditioner combines two ingredients that find their way into my snacks and meals constantly, thanks to growing up with a family that loves exotic fruit.

My family’s Cuban heritage has given us all a love for most exotic fruits, apricots being one of them. Whether it was taking a bite right into one, tossing slices onto a salad or incorporating them into desserts. This fruit is so delicious and it has Vitamin A, C and E. So, seeing this in this Hair Food hydrating and moisturizing shampoo and conditioner resonated with me immediately.

The other ingredient stand out is Manuka Honey. Something I didn’t grow up eating, but as an adult, it’s made it’s way into so many snacks and drinks I have on a daily basis. Manuka Honey has many amazing health benefits like being an anti-inflammatory and having lots of antioxidants. For hair, it helps retain moisture and seal it in. It’s often used as a hair mask, for this reason.

I love that this ingredient isn’t just in this Hair Food Manuka Honey & Apricot Shampoo and Conditioner, but it’s also in the brand’s Manuka Honey & Hemp Extract Damage Recovery Serum. I’ve been using the shampoo and conditioner daily for a perfect balance of cleansing and moisturizing. Then I apply the serum to my damp, just-washed hair once a week to give my hair an extra boost of
