Usually within the first couple of weeks every new year I share a few different round up posts with my favorites from the year prior. To kick it off this year, I wanted to share Things I Wore the Most in 2020. Which will most likely also be things I continue to wear a lot this year too. I did wear a lot of loungewear, but I actually began dressing more normally (pre-2020 vibes) most days as soon as Fall hit. I think the start of the new season and my personal favorite style season of the year had something to do with that, along with just be over not having to get dressed, do my makeup or hair. I actually really enjoy doing all of those things and so when I wasn’t for days at a time (the first few months of quarantine) it made me feel a little down.

So, today I’m sharing the things I wore the most in 2020 that made me feel good and helped the times feel a little less crummy than they were. P.S. so many of the pieces are on SALE 👏🏻
Things I Wore the Most in 2020
Unless you’re new around here, you’re most likely familiar with my love for overalls. Shorts or pants, I love them all and have to actively stop myself everyday from wearing them. These Levi’s Vintage Shortalls (as pictured above) are perfect. The best kind of cute, loose fit.
If I wasn’t wearing sneakers (or was barefoot) I was wearing mule slides in 2020. They are effortless, comfortable and make any outfit look a little more sharp. I have three pairs, but wore my black mule slides the most.
Billowy dresses were the dress of 2020. Pretty, comfortable and whimsical…three things I love in a dress. This ruffle-trimmed dress was one of 10-15 billowy dresses I bought and wore the heck out of this year and it’s one of my favorites! I love that the floral pattern and color combination make it a print that can be wore all-year long.
I wore about 5 jeans over and over again last year and these ultra high rise ankle straight jeans are at the top of that list. I won’t spend too much time raving about them because I talk about them non-stop already. But real quick-THEY’RE AWESOME 🙃
I started off with 2 of these loose-sub-knit easy pocket tees and at the end of the year had one in every color. I love everything about this tee: it’s loose-fit, pocket and material. It also doesn’t lose shape in the washer and dryer!
Is it shocking in anyway that my most worn shoe (even surpassing sneakers and my trusty mule slides) were Birkenstock’s? Comfort remained the name of the game in 2020 and why yes I do have a pair of “house birks” and “going out birks” thank you very much.
Remember the 2020 bike shorts rage? I never thought I would wear them other than to workout in, but turns out there are some brands out there that make bike shorts that are actually pretty darn cute and flattering and not see-through. So, I was wearing bike shorts with all sorts of over-sized tops and loving every minute of it-and still am!
I’ve always liked jumpsuits, but they’re not always easy for me to find styles that fit perfectly. I had lots of luck last year and ended the year with a handful of new ones. It’s an all-in-one outfit which I love and they’re comfy too. This simple black jumpsuit might have been my favorite.
My unsung wardrobe hero of 2020 was definitely this $10 sweater that I now own in 3 colors and still can’t get over how good it is for TEN DOLLARS. Perfectly thin so I was able to wear them even when we didn’t have our cold fronts and I’ll continue wearing them into our colder months now.
Especially in the height of the summer here in Miami, I really loved my satin tank when I wanted to feel a little dressier in my cut off shorts and jeans. Now I love pairing it with an over-sized cardigan.
